Artist Statement
Doreen Green
I did a teachers course on Flower Arranging 1992/94. One of the projects on the course was a book of pressed flowers and foliage. I was very attracted to this method of art and I joined a pressed flower group in Dublin and the Pressed Flower guild in England. I got my Bronze award 1998, my Silver 2000 and my Gold award 2001 with this Guild. I attend this conference every year in England. I have exhibited at this conference, The Japanese Art Show, RHS, London and The Harrogate Flower Show in England. I have not exhibited in Ireland. Nature influences me as an artist. I admire The Impressionists Painters, Renoir, Monet, Degas,etc.
