Artist Statement
Eileen Holland

I was born in Drumcatton, Inniskeen, Co. Monaghan into a family of four children. I lived a short distance from the Poet and Playwright Patrick Kavanagh. I married in 1966 and have six children. I always had an interest in art and was very creative and made clothes for my children and crafts for the home. In 1990 I enrolled in a local art class and I really felt it was the right thing for me. I started with watercolours and progressed to oils. To date I have sold over 50 paintings at home, abroad and at exhibitions.I find painting very relaxing and therapeutic and I intend to continue exhibiting.

Medium: Oils and watercolour.
