Artist Statement
Celia Richards
I am a French painter and I left sunny Provence for County Monaghan, Ireland in 1998. My work is commissioned in an ever increasing demand. I work in oils, soft pastels and acrylics on landscapes and still life. My vibrant colours and are a trademark that does justice to Degas and Pissarro who have inspired me throughout the years. My sanguine drawings and portraits capture the essence of the sitter more strikingly than most usual portraits, my focus being on children and delicate fleshtones. I am also an interior designer with a particular flair for matching paintings with interiors and vice versa. I will paint to suit a scheme or source art work flawlessly and with panache.

Painting on left: Lever Drawbridge (oils) and is 34.5"x28" in size. It is framed and costs €600.
Painting in centre: Knockatallon, Monaghan (oils) and is 27.5"x24.5" in size. It is framed and costs €500.
Painting on right: Still life with embroidered cloth (pastels) and is 24"x20" in size. It is framed and costs €200.
