Artist Statement

Carmel Callan

Working from my home in Ardee, County Louth, Ireland where I live with my husband and family, I paint almost any subject from abstract to floral but most enjoy paintings that reflect the countryside around my home and local interests. I work with most mediums but take most pleasure from working with oils, acrylics and watercolour. I have been inspired by a variety of artists such as Claude Monet, Jean Duffy, Picasso, Rolf Harris and Bob Ross. I had a very successful solo exhibition recently in my hometown of Ardee and also commissioned paintings.

Medium: Oils, acrylics and watercolour.
