Sinead Finnegan
I hail from the stony soil and drumlins of Monaghan in the countryside of Corduff, Carrickmacross. I have a degree in Fine Art from the University of Ulster in Belfast. After my studies I left Ireland to travel around Europe, finally ending up in Kent, England where I currently live. I still keep strong contacts with home and after growing up and working on a dairy farm since I could walk, I paint what I know. I paint animals, particularly cows and country scenes, doing sketches and taking photos from home and then painting them, mostly in acrylics on card, building up the layers until the final result. I would like to do some larger, even life-size cow paintings, so watch this space!
Medium: Acrylics
Painting on left: Mountain View (acrylics) is 21.3"x16.3" in size.It is framed and costs €120.
Painting in centre: Chewing the Cud (acrylics) is 20"x17" in size. It is framed and costs €120.
Painting on right: White Heards (acrylics) is 20"x17" in size. it is framed and costs €120.
